Shona Anderson

The long version: 
Shona Anderson has been an educator since 1996.  She began her teaching career with the Upper Grand District School board as a core French teacher.  She began taking Additional Qualifications courses and holds a double specialization in the teaching of French as a Second Language and Computers in the Classroom.  Her work as both an English teacher and a French teacher led her to administration in 2003 for the Bluewater District School Board.  Working in schools, as both an administrator and a teacher, has been a rewarding experience allowing Shona to learn from kids and adults alike.  Shona is also a part-time on-line lecturer for the University of Western Ontario.  Shona holds a B.A. in English from the University of Guelph and a P.G.C.E in secondary education from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.  Shona also completed her Masters of Education, through Charles Sturt University in Australia, with a focus on Educational Research in the area of bullying.   Her research was supported by the Ontario Principals Council and she has both written for their publication called the Register and presented at their annual conference called Odyssey.  Shona’s first book, co-published by OPC and Corwin Press, No More Bystanders = No More Bullies, was released in 2011. 

Outside of school Shona is a very busy mother of 2 year old twins, Zoe and Ewan.  She is also a wife, a daughter and a sister.  Shona is a self-professed reality television junkie.
